these are fun, and take me back to the things that excited me when i was a kid.
i like the denseness of the top piece. the dark values just work with it better than the lighter ones i think. maybe its just more finished looking. love the band on the bottom of the middle piece. too cool love these fun have you tried drawing on gessoed masonite i really like it. and you can make these huge erase marks and layer gesso over. i think paint doesnt stick to slick areas of graphite on masonite as much. just to warn ya =t
I like top and bottom paintings the most, and, agree that the dark one is strongest. I think the two I've mentioned are successful paintings; the perspective of the middle one isn't as interesting for me because it pushes me away from the picture "plane" (pun intended) whereas the other two bring me in. This isn't a prerequisite for a good painting, but I think it's an aspect of this series that really works, and is enticing.

I guess to put it better, top and bottom paintings make me feel like I am in the cockpits, and that's cool, I like that...
