so, i'm working on this little guy. i'm going to redo the whole right side. i'm happy with how the left side looks and i think i'm going to simplify color and pattern on the right square. i think i'll make the right side bottom green stripes match the left side bottom. i think i'll make that green and black and white highway on the right only one or two fabrics, and brown or just green. i think i will change the dark highway into oranges similar to the left side. then i will change the blackground on the right to match the background on the left. obviously i was going for a peaceful side and a more complex side, but i got a little too carried away. i'm not totally sure what to do with the three stripes in the divide. in the picture they were part of one tower and i want them to look close to the viewer. things will line up more in the finished piece, my picture is a little messed up. the top lines of the ground will line up and the orange stripe in the background of the righ side will line up with the orange highway from the left. let me know if you have any ideas.

yooooooooooo nice!
how little is this? how do you redo fabric stuff? do you just sew over it? i really like this series you got goin'. love the sky in the right side. on the left side that line going up in the middle is a bit confusing and yeah, it'd be cool to make that column in the middle look closer to the viewer...not sure how you'd do that. right now it looks like it separates the piece, like it's a diptych. maybe if you make the ground the same in the right left side...yeah...at least similar fabric and at the same level. right now the right's a little lower. ok. i'm rambling on.
tricky tricky tricky,
love this direction
so many possibilitiYES
it is about 21" X 8."
one way to redo fabric stuff is to sew over it. i will probably try that in the future. it would be a different look than i'm going for right now.
the method i am doing is where you draw an image that can be sewn together and it ends up like a puzzle goes together. you keep sewing straight edges together until it reaches your image. there is a lot of planning involved. the right side goes together like a square so i will just redo that whole thing. it'll be kind of nice because then i can keep the one you see now and just turn it into its own finished piece or save it for later.
so, you like the background on the right side? it is kind of cool how the fabric makes a sun shape, but i think i will try something different.
maybe i can make the middle part look closer to the viewer by using stripes at an angle to create perspective. like it will angle up then be straight across in the middle and then angle the opposite on the right side.
that was me...
I think the more recent one posted had lots of successes to it!
