new piece
im very happy to have seen this made
im heading this way with some new pieces.
i like the idea that we carry our history and emotions spirit around with us
so i want to paint it,
im going to make objects in this same way
and see where it goes,
i was thinking abstraction was the best way to show this
but i was thinking about including real objects ,
whaddaya think?

I love it, dude. So much good stuff to feast my eyes on.

Not sure what you were asking about the objects. You're wondering whether you should add objects to the paintings--like found objects--or do you mean painted elements other than abstract shapes? Either way, I'm sure you could make it work.

god damn that is beautiful. i think it seems to do a good job at showing how we carry things along with us. that girl jumps right out. with the dark background and the bright figure...i'm not sure how you would do that abstractly, but i bet it'd be awesome too. this seems like something very new and fresh from you. i can't wait to see more damN! i also am not sure what you mean by objects, though...like still life?

thanks for the feedback guys.
ya, i was thinking like a chair then a partial dunkin donuts sign. almost a junkpile in places. but my need for freedom may be pushing my thoughts to a cheesy place. but gotta try. thanks for the confidence!

Maybe the place to contain "real" imagery/objects is within the figure, blur the lines between the abstract elements and recognizable shapes... or abstract things like signs, etc. so that the viewer isn't really sure what they're looking at, but feels an uneasy recognition. Or is that what you meant?
