A few hours after titling this, it began to occur to me that the title was really bad. I'm pretty ambivalent about it.
Right now I'm basically of the opinion that the title is pretty hate-able. I have hatified it.
Also beginning to see that of the two three-panel sets, it seems that two of the three panels satisfy, but one always seems to lack. Because I see them as a whole, the whole thing feels like a failure, and find myself trying to improve the weak link. Wonder if I should just jettison the bad guys and turn the strong guys into solitary works........
I like what you're attempting. This radical re-wire of your working method is bound to result in some frustrations and cold starts. That's OK. I've had a bunch of false starts lately. So far these paintings/digital collages aren't clicking visually for me, but I love the ideas and I feel the potential. Channel your restlessness!
yes i'd agree with peter about feeling the potential here. it's a new medium and there's probably still a shit ton to learn. it's real exciting to see your work undergo this transformation. it's still you, but new. i think peter was saying before about using professional printers as well. once you get some of these images that you really like you could probably take them to a pro place and get some real nice prints. also i've been messing around with this programming language for designers called Processing (http://www.processing.org) you might be interested in that as it's more customizable that photoshopped images...just a little trickier to use...you could also do star animations and stuff...put in some algorithms to make animated patterns and have it spit out a bunch of images...just a thought...the digital world is a vast and dark hole of possibilities
