22x30 watercolor on paper
not sure what to call her,

dude amazing piece! i really like what you're doing, contrasting a more tight representational face with abstract hair/background. i hope to see that in some future paintings cause i really think you could do a lot with it. but honestly my favorite part, and what i think pulls the whole thing together is the red/white design/collar in the lower left. it's actually kinda genius because without it for some reason the painting isn't as strong. i don't know how you figured out to do that but damnnnnn.

I like the almost subliminal organic grid of small elements. The eyes, cheekbones, and lips are so nicely and simply defined and the rest of the head is so loose and conceptual, it makes the figure seem almost transparent (without any actual transparency). Glowing from within -- not just the figure, the whole piece.
