yo peter! nice to see you on here...thanks for posting some stuff. it's real cool to see what you've been doing. you are really taking advantage of what acrylic paints can do. SOFAR channel is my favorite...i see a landscape in it and there is space in it...as well as with the painting above it. i like the transparency of the mountain and the circle stencil things...walls impede my progress i like too...you're real good with that tape. how'd you get that kind of crackly effect on the right side? awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwesome!!
thank you! There are a couple others from this run of paintings, and the plan is to take some of these forms into a more muted brown-black-white direction.
That crackly effect is from a medium you can buy, you paint one color, let it dry and then paint the crackle medium over it. Then you let that dry and paint a contrasting color on top. It's a little tricky, I found it doesn't work so well with fluid acrylics.
I've had icebergs and the deep ocean on the brain...
